It is always recommended to use font type Times New Roman or Ariel. The font should change unless specified by the client. The font size should always be 12. You should only use a different font size unless the assignment requirements states. This therefore means that the assignment instructions should adhered to.

Spacing and heading of good college essays

The format of a college essay is unique a way. The type of spacing required is always double spaced. It is important to note that there should not be any single spacing anywhere neither should there be any extra spacing. It is also outlawed to include extra spaces between paragraphs when writing or formatting your college essay.  The college essay takes the following format when it comes to writing the heading. You should first write your name in the upper left corner of the first page. In the following line, please type the name of the course instructor. It should then be followed by the title of the course. The last thing to be written in the header in the date that the assignment is due.

If the essay that you are writing takes the format of the MLA or the modern Language Association, please ensure that you use one inch margin all through the essay. The first line of each and every paragraph should be indented. If in MLA format, it is recommended to either press the Tab Key five times or press the space bar key five times.

It is critical to always have a title for the essay. The title of a good college essay is always in the same font as the rest of the essay. It should not be bolded, underlined or italicized. The student’s last name and the page should appear at the header section. For example, if your surname is Smith then it should appear as Smith 1.
