If you use information outside of lecture notes, that information must be cited in a format used by the journal Genetics, which is published by the Genetics Society of America.  Please refer to this web site and scroll to “References” for specific information on citation:  http://www.genetics.org/content/prep-manuscript#references

You should address the following.  You can determine which obituary should contain which information.

What was the connection between becoming a priest and studying math and science?
What were the thoughts/beliefs about genetics at the time Mendel did his work?

Scientists are encouraged to publish their scientific work.  Did Mendel publish his work before he died?
How was Mendel’s work rediscovered?  Who rediscovered it?  What was the reaction to his rediscovered work?
Darwin published Origin of Species in 1859 before Mendel died.  What questions did each have that the other one         might have answered?
