Mexican American history

Today in many southwestern states the Mexican American or Hispanic populations are increasing at a faster rate than their Anglo American counterparts. It seems that Anglos have been the miniority of the population in the history of the Spanish speaking borderlands. However, the Anglos have exercised a power and preeminence far greater than their respective numbers.
